Monaco & Helicopters 2010


“We’re going to Monaco and I get to ride in a helicopter – yippee!”

When John told me that I too had been included in Greg’s invitation to attend the RM Auction and Classic Monaco GP Day in Monte Carlo, I was thrilled but when he told me about the helicopter ride, I nearly exploded with excitement. This would be my first time in a helicopter – I couldn’t wait.

I managed to get everything into one carry on bag, a gift from a friend and an advertisement for his business “Candles Naturally”. I thought I could get some photos taken of the bag in as many exotic locations as possible. Actually, he just wanted a photo of it in the helicopter but when it came to it, I was so blown away by the whole experience that I forgot until the last minute and it could have been anywhere – sorry Kevin.

We had a ball. Greg is such a great guy and an excellent host. I am now boring everyone I meet with what a wonderful time we all had.

We saw a lot of old friends and made some great new friends too.

I am going to let some* of my pictures of the trip tell the story for me. Oh yes, my favorite car at the auction was the Bugatti Type 57.

Looking through these photos makes me want to be back there. Wonder if I could get a room for the F1 GP next weekend……
