Lola T70 Spyders
SL71/23

Sold to Phil Scragg for hillclimbs only.
Gearbox No: LG500-52.

Philip Scragg had raced a lightweight E type Jaguar in British hillclimbs and he used his T70 in the same type of events. In 1966/67, he had the car cut down to what amounted to spider bodywork with cycle fenders, like a big Lotus Seven with pannier tanks. Afterwards, it was sold to Dave Preece, a dentist in England.

In 1987, /23 was sold to Terry Smith. He rebuilt/rebodied it with IIIB Coupe bodywork and raced it in the British “Super Sports” series throughout Europe.
