Sold to Charles Bridges. Red Rose Racing Team for Brian Redman.
Engine No: TS51. (Team Surtees.)
After an E Type Jaguar, Brian Redman found SL71/27 “A revelation!” Very fast, but Brian was well up to coping with it, winning at Rufforth, his fifth race, and taking four fourth places.
At the end of 1966, Robin Darlington, a gentleman farmer, bought /27 and scored six victories with it! Peter Gethin drove it at Oulton Park and won also.
In April 1967, David Bridges bought /27 back, sold it to the USA and was never paid for it! It has not surfaced since.

Presumably sold to Jim Hall, this T70 MAY have been driven by Bob Bucher in the 1966 Can Am Races.
After this, nothing was known until it re-appeared in South Africa in 1986.
It was sold to Europe in 1991 and completely restored.

1991: Sold to J. P. Bertrand of Luxemburg. This freshly restored car, in yellow, appeared at the Spa historic races carrying this number on May 15/16th 1993. He was third on the car's first outing at Spa.
