When the wife of a close friend is found dead of suspicious circumstances, Ceejay, a racer and journalist, finds himself involved in a deadly plot.
When Ceejay is not out on the racetrack in his March GTP of Lola T70, he can be found wheeling and dealing his way around the world of historic racecar drivers and collectors, on behalf of his forceful and influential employer, Dick Levy.
It is going to be a long and deadly season for Ceejay as he gradually unravels a series of murders and finally discovers a ruthless killer behind a greedy scam.
Chapter 1, Paragraph 1
Go, Go, Go! The urgent instructions of my crew chief come over the radio, assailing my eardrums and my right foot nailed the throttle. Immediately ahead of me, the pole sitting Porsche 962C spewed black exhaust smoke from each flank as the turbos spooled up. Alongside him, a white and blue Intrepid did likewise. For one brief, fleeting moment, what seemed like silence prevailed and then the shattering crash of twenty thousand horsepower hit the watching crowd and echoed off the Armco barriers.
