For those of you who run “big” V8 (Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, et al), mid-engined cars, the good old Hewland 5-speed LG600 gearboxes are usually the transmission of choice.
First introduced in 1964, these gearboxes, with magnesium cases, are now old and scarce. A new, aluminum-cased LG600 Mk. II is now available, through us, at US$18,000.00 (see photos). The cases are seventeen pounds heavier than the original magnesium cases but are stronger than the originals.

Additionally, the side plates are of the thicker, stronger Mk. II variety, thus making for a strong, long lasting gearbox.
