Eugen Kiemele raced this car enthusiastically before having an accident with it at the Krahberg hillclimb in May 1976, when the throttle jammed open. Fortunately, Kiemele escaped but the car was badly damaged and was sold to Jurgen Kannacher, who removed the engine and gearbox and sold the damaged shell to Josh Sadler of Autofarm.

Josh restored the car, replacing the engine with an RSR 2.8-liter engine and, in this form, the 934 was sold to Mark Niblett and raced at Brands Hatch and Silverstone in two World Championship events.
After this, the 934 was sold to John Bell of England who had Neil Bainbridge re-engine it again, this time with a 3.3-liter 930 engine, with a 934 metering unit to increase horsepower. In this form, John raced the car in British club events until having an accident at Silverstone with it in 1988 (right in front of me!), which necessitated another complete rebuild, this time by Neil Bainbridge.
After this was completed, the car was sold at Auction to noted Italian Porsche racer, Mauro Borella, who raced it once, at Misano, before selling to Mario Illien.
In 1995, I inspected the car in England and shortly thereafter, it was sold to a noted Porsche collector in the USA.
